Funerals and Memorial Services at St. Luke's.
If you have reached this page, you may be looking for someone to perform a funeral service or to find out more information about a funeral at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.

The Episcopal Church has a beautiful burial liturgy that is available to everyone.
At St. Luke’s, you can come to us whether the person who died, or is dying, is a member or non-member or whether they were faithful church goers or not. We believe that everyone deserves the dignity of a Christian burial and that all should be escorted out of this world with beauty and grace.

The funeral service is a recognition that this person is one of God’s children and an also an acknowledgement that they will be missed and mourned by those who knew and loved them. At the same time, it is hopeful in that we believe that this person is now in the arms of our loving God.

The funeral service is taken from the Book of Common Prayer, the prayer book used by all Episcopalians/Anglicans in the world. You can have the service at the Funeral Home or at St. Luke’s. You can also have a memorial service at a later date.

Pre-planning your funeral service can give you peace of mind and ease the burden placed on your loved ones at the time of your passing. The entire service, including scripture readings and hymns and speakers if appropriate, can be planned in advance and kept in our files.

This can be a difficult time and it is our hope that St. Luke’s Funeral Ministry can be helpful to you and your family. If you would like to arrange to have a funeral or memorial service at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, please the office at (802)524-6212 or e-mail fatherdavid@comcast.net.
